Kyle Busch winning #200
Hey guys so I know I have not posted since Daytona for me personally this season couldn't have gotten off to a better start. So far I am feeling like the racing is pretty good. I am beyond proud of Kyle Busch today I know for him personally he has been wanting to hit this milestone. I was so happy to see him hit it today and I can't wait to see what other accomplishments he hits in his career. This is a big one for him and NASCAR. It amazes me how many people want to debate if it is comparable to Richard Petty's 200 as far as I have seen Kyle has never tried to compare them and has gone so far to say how they are completely different times and not comparable. They aren't the same and both should be celebrated for how amazing it was for there time. No driver will ever win 200 cup races ever again but I don't think anyone will get Kyle's 200 with the new rules in place. I had not thought about this point til Kurt brought it up but Kyle is wearing out his body with each race he runs so that is another amazing point. I know there are plenty of people who discredit Kyle's 200 because he won so many in trucks and Xfinity but most of those drivers have said they want to beat the best and he is the best. I am sure that Cole Custer felt a certain level of achievement from beating Kyle he would not have got with beating an Xfinity regular. I am beyond proud of Kyle and everything he has accomplished and I am excited for the future and all his future wins and goals. Congrats Kyle on 200! I loved hearing Kurt's pride and seeing them celebrate together in victory lane.

Daytona 500/JD Gibbs
Joe Gibbs racing has always been my favorite team and i was heartbroken to learn over the off season that JD had passed away. Watching the interview with coach this afternoon and seeing the dedication had me in tears for a man i had never met. There is no doubt that JD touched many lives for the better in his time that was much to short on this earth. I am sure he is estatic up there looking down and through all the wrecks it just felt like JD was protecting especially Kyle and Denny. I had a gut feeling this might be Kyle's year to win. Coming down to the end there it was just about everything i could have hoped for. I had hoped to see Kyle get his first Daytona 500 win since Denny already had one however i can't deny what Denny said with his connections and owing his whole career to JD and driving JD's number it almost feels like how could it go any other way then for Denny to win it. Every since Erik joined the cup series i had hoped to have my 4 drivers finishing 1 2 3 4 and tonight that is exactly what happened. In a way that's fitting to considering that out of all the cars running at the finish they are the 4 either driving for JGR or drove for JGR previously. I still pray that Kyle gets a chance to win his Daytona 500 and eventually one day Erik does as well. A lot of people might feel i have a strange set of favorite drivers considering they have had fights but they are my 4 and i wouldn't trade them for anyone. They are all some of the best drivers in the cup series and 2 are champions in the top series i pray this is the year Denny gets his championship it would only be fitting with the backstory of JD if he can get it done. Outside of the car they all do incredible things and are incredible guys. Congrats Denny enjoy your second 500 win great job today i am sure JD is incredibly proud of you.
